10/03/09 - The 28th annual CROP Walk took place Saturday October 3, 2009 in Burlington, N.C. The event started at the Holly Hill Baptist Church on Edgewood Ave. and wound through the city. Organizers estimate 500 people took part in this year’s event with 400 at the main location, and an additional 100 people at a separate location in the Twin Lakes community. The event hopes to raise 60-Thousand dollars to help stamp out hunger.
